Responsibilities
- Plan and execute complex integration engineering projects from discovery and high-level architecture through code implementation.
- Lead technical conversations with users, explain Stripe products and API architecture, and manage expectations around timelines and product changes.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for strategic users and partners, resolving integration issues and owning operational escalations.
- Provide deep technical support and debugging for Stripe and user code, while building proof-of-concept integrations and user-specific test plans.
- Lead hands-on implementations, advise on coding practices, CI/CD, software architecture, performance, reliability, and efficiency.
- Build tools, analytics, dashboards, queries, and custom data reports for user business reviews and operational needs.
- Collaborate with Sales, Solution Architecture, Implementation, Product, and Engineering teams to support customer engagement and identify product enhancements.
- Develop reusable processes and share knowledge across the Professional Services team.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in Software Engineering or Integration Engineering.
- Ability to write code in languages such as Go, Java, C, or C++ and quickly debug user code snippets.
- Experience with code-level debugging and using code to solve technical problems.
- Strong generalist technical experience, including SQL proficiency and understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Understanding of the payments domain and API security topics.
- Ability to explain technical concepts, product features, and API architecture clearly.
- Ability to translate business requirements into reliable technical solutions with a user-first approach.
- Confidence working with customers and leading strategic technical conversations.
- Preferred qualifications include problem-solving ability, willingness to learn and mentor, collaborative and consultative communication, technical writing skills, and intellectual curiosity.
