Base Salary
$135k - $189k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers to deliver features from the warehouse and inventory technology roadmap.
- Implement backend and frontend features using Java, JavaScript, and React.
- Integrate software with AWS services including DynamoDB, RDS, SQS, and SNS.
- Use design patterns, GraphQL, REST APIs, and message queues.
- Participate in code reviews and help peers produce high-quality code.
- Diagnose and resolve issues in existing software and address technical challenges.
- Communicate technical ideas through written explanations, diagrams, and code.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience writing software and deploying it to production environments.
- Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language, such as Java or C++.
- Strong understanding of algorithms, common data structures, and computer science fundamentals.
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT to deliver production-ready code.
- Ability to write efficient, working code from clear requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
- Passion for space exploration and commitment to Blue Origin’s mission.
- Preferred: experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or defense; iOS, Android, or React Native development; React and other JavaScript frameworks; CI/CD strategies; and relational or non-relational databases.
