Responsibilities
- Identify and solve business problems across Match Group products by defining appropriate AI/ML problems and selecting effective methodologies.
- Participate in new product and feature development from ideation and prototyping through deployment to users.
- Handle multimodal data including text, images, and event logs while addressing bias and noise.
- Define product-aligned evaluation metrics and develop effective model-training approaches.
- Develop dating-domain large language models and multimodal models and apply them to products through agents and other forms.
- Validate product impact through online experiments, A/B testing, and causal analysis.
- Optimize on-device and large-scale model inference under engineering and infrastructure constraints.
- Build and operate ML model training and deployment pipelines and continuously monitor and improve production systems.
Requirements
- Strong foundational knowledge of AI/ML, deep knowledge in at least one relevant domain, and related project experience.
- Ability to use exploratory data analysis to identify statistical properties and patterns and apply findings to problem solving.
- Proficiency in Python and deep-learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
- Ability to write high-quality, collaborative, and maintainable code.
- Engineering capability to build training pipelines and deploy ML models.
- Interest in productionizing AI technologies and ability to continuously learn and share new technologies with the team.
- Fluent Korean communication and ability to understand and write English technical documentation and communicate remotely.
- Preferred: publications in or awards from AI/ML conferences or journals such as NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, ACL, RecSys, KDD, or CVPR.
- Preferred: experience applying AI technology to production services and materially improving business metrics.
- Preferred: experience planning A/B tests, defining target KPIs, conducting causal analysis, and using statistical techniques and SQL-based analysis for decision-making.
- Preferred: development experience outside AI, including Android, iOS, or backend projects.
- Preferred: experience defining requirements, managing schedules, and adjusting priorities with PM, data, business, and other functions, including PM/PO experience.
- Preferred: ability to participate in large English-language meetings and conduct technical communication with multiple stakeholders.
