Base Salary
$230k - $385k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build foundational backend and infrastructure for monetization and ads systems.
- Architect large-scale distributed systems meeting strict reliability, privacy, security, and performance requirements.
- Develop APIs, infrastructure services, and internal platforms for ads creation, delivery, measurement, and optimization.
- Partner with Product, Research, and Design to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Drive 0-to-1 infrastructure development through prototyping, experimentation, and iterative improvement.
- Contribute to the technical strategy and roadmap for the monetization infrastructure stack.
- Maintain engineering rigor through testing, documentation, observability, and operational best practices.
- Build systems aligned with safety, privacy, fairness, and policy requirements.
- Collaborate across engineering organizations to ensure flexible, performant, and resilient infrastructure.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience designing mission-critical systems with demanding reliability, performance, and correctness requirements.
- Ability to reason across architecture, data flows, operational concerns, observability, and long-term maintainability.
- Comfort defining technical direction in ambiguous 0-to-1 environments.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate clearly while grounding decisions in user needs and long-term system health.
- Experience with ads systems, marketplaces, AI/ML infrastructure, or other monetization-intensive domains is a bonus.
