Responsibilities
- Contribute as a full-stack developer on an Agile development team supporting digital manufacturing solutions.
- Develop, test, and deliver backend and frontend functionality for manufacturing applications.
- Use AI coding agents as a thought partner to explore designs, review work, and accelerate implementation.
- Translate product intent into written specifications and implementation plans, then execute them.
- Contribute to development documentation, processes, and best practices.
- Participate in software deployment and architectural and technical design discussions.
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field; other degree programs may apply.
- Demonstrated aptitude for web development, foundational coding knowledge, and effective problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to resolve conflicts and adapt to changing environments.
- Able to work 30–40 hours during the summer semester and 16–20 hours during the academic year.
- Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university.
- Expected graduation in Spring 2027 or later and cumulative GPA of at least 2.8.
- Must be at least 18 years old and able to commute to Waterloo, Iowa, daily year-round.
- Experience in manufacturing or prior coding work in industry or a student learning position is preferred.
