Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services powering lending and credit products.
- Build and maintain secure, scalable, and well-documented APIs for embedded credit products.
- Lead design reviews, advise on systems architecture, and mentor engineers.
- Champion resilient distributed-systems design, reliability, performance, automated testing, code review, and monitoring practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver lending solutions for global enterprise clients.
- Drive improvements to platform architecture, engineering practices, and delivery efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- At least 2 years in a technical leadership role mentoring engineers and leading engineering strategy.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, object-oriented programming skills, and proven backend systems experience.
- Experience with Java or Kotlin and the Spring or Spring Boot framework is preferred through the stated primary technology stack.
- Extensive experience designing and building APIs using modern API design principles and tools.
- Production experience with domain-driven design and event-driven architectures.
- Proven experience designing and maintaining high-throughput, low-latency, highly available distributed systems at scale.
- Cloud experience with GCP preferred or AWS, including services such as EC2, RDS, ELB, and CloudFront, plus Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Experience with SaaS products offered as a platform is preferred.
