Base Salary
$100k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop functionally safe and scalable software architectures.
- Develop control and data acquisition firmware for safety-critical and fault-tolerant applications.
- Develop and maintain build, test, and deployment tools.
- Create and conduct safety analysis for actuator-control state machines.
- Support integrated system testing.
- Debug embedded systems using electrical test equipment such as logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
- Collaborate with electrical, software, chemical, manufacturing, nuclear, and materials engineers, as well as physicists.
Requirements
- Evidence of exceptional ability through prior projects, portfolios, or completed products.
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and ability to make clear recommendations using first principles with partial information.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or another STEM discipline.
- At least five years of professional experience.
- Development experience in C, C++, Golang, Python, or Rust.
- Experience with embedded or low-level systems development.
- Preferred experience with data acquisition systems, electrical hardware troubleshooting, PCBA bring-up, signal processing, low-level communication protocol debugging, PLC/SCADA programming, security analysis, or threat modeling.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.
