Responsibilities
- Experiment with and iterate on learning-based solutions for drone perception challenges.
- Train machine learning models using large datasets from real-world, simulation, and internet-scale sources.
- Write production code to train, validate, and integrate models into perception systems.
- Collaborate with perception, planning, navigation, maps, and hardware teams.
- Share research findings and insights across teams.
- Optimize onboard models into TensorRT engines for high-throughput execution within constrained compute budgets.
Requirements
- Must have completed the second year of undergraduate studies; master’s and PhD students are also eligible.
- Good theoretical understanding of 3D computer vision and camera models.
- Hands-on expertise in one or more areas including multi-view depth estimation, semantic segmentation, Gaussian splatting, generative modeling, BEV-style models, VLAs, VLMs, or model optimization.
- Deep understanding of current research and trends in the listed perception and model optimization areas.
- Proficiency with PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
- Experience writing high-quality production code, such as through a previous internship.
- Ability to rapidly experiment, iterate, and adapt to new findings.
