Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable AI and data solutions supporting strategic business objectives and operational excellence.
- Drive the architecture, delivery, and operationalization of custom AI use cases from ideation through production deployment.
- Translate business challenges into pragmatic, cost-efficient, and scalable AI solutions.
- Provide technical leadership for AI initiatives and help shape the enterprise AI roadmap and architecture landscape.
- Guide and challenge external implementation partners and consultants to ensure high-quality, sustainable delivery.
- Contribute to the enterprise data and AI platform, including standards, best practices, and governance approaches.
- Integrate AI capabilities into existing business processes while ensuring maintainability, scalability, and operational readiness.
- Monitor, optimize, and continuously improve deployed AI solutions.
- Evaluate emerging Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, and Data & Analytics technologies for innovation opportunities.
- Advise business stakeholders and technical teams by making AI concepts accessible and actionable.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in AI, Data, Machine Learning, Solution Architecture, or related disciplines.
- Proven experience delivering AI solutions from concept through implementation and operation.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure OpenAI Services, Azure AI Foundry, or comparable hyperscaler environments.
- Strong programming skills, preferably in Python.
- Experience with data platforms, cloud architectures, and AI solution ecosystems.
- Knowledge of Generative AI, Large Language Models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, AI Agents, or related technologies.
- Experience coordinating external vendors, implementation partners, or consulting teams.
- Ability to translate complex technical topics into business-oriented recommendations and provide technical guidance in cross-functional environments.
- Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, ownership, and a pragmatic hands-on mindset.
- Proficient written and spoken English; good command of German is desirable.
- Familiarity with Data Engineering, MLOps, or AI Operations is advantageous.
- Experience in GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environments is a strong advantage.
