Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver complex software systems for Amazon Device Messaging.
- Drive technical decisions and design reviews affecting multiple services or teams.
- Lead critical feature development while mentoring junior engineers.
- Establish monitoring, metrics, and operational excellence practices for highly available systems.
- Define code quality, testing, and documentation standards across projects.
- Resolve complex technical challenges and implement preventive measures.
- Participate in technical interviews and make data-driven hiring recommendations.
- Collaborate with engineering leaders, product managers, and related C2MS teams on roadmap and cross-cutting challenges.
Requirements
- 8+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 8+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture for new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader.
- Preferred: 8+ years covering the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
