Base Salary
$144k - $224k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, integrate, and operate embedded software functions throughout the satellite lifecycle.
- Develop mode management, telemetry, power control, hardware interface, and autonomous-control capabilities.
- Write software for embedded Linux or real-time operating system environments.
- Build software that interacts with electronic devices using I2C, I3C, SPI, RS-422, RS-485, Ethernet, and related communications interfaces.
- Collaborate with hardware teams on setup, verification, integration, and testing.
- Apply high-reliability embedded software practices to support satellite reliability and availability.
- Participate in software development from requirements through implementation, testing, and operations.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship design or architecture experience for new and existing systems.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or person granted asylum due to export-control requirements.
