Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, administer, and optimize enterprise relational database solutions.
- Support database architecture, engineering, modernization, and integration initiatives.
- Develop and maintain services supporting database-driven applications.
- Evaluate emerging database technologies and recommend solutions aligned with mission requirements.
- Troubleshoot database performance, availability, and integration issues.
- Collaborate with software developers, systems engineers, and stakeholders to define requirements and implement solutions.
- Lead technical projects and provide guidance to engineering teams.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph with the customer is required.
- Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related technical discipline.
- 20+ years of experience in database administration, database engineering, or database design supporting systems engineering, software development, or related technical environments.
- Experience with one or more of Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle Database, AWS Aurora, and Amazon RDS.
- Experience developing or supporting database-driven web services.
- Experience supporting Windows and Linux environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience leading technical projects and coordinating cross-functional engineering teams.
- Desired experience includes ArcGIS; Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, or PowerShell; SharePoint, Power BI, or Tableau; Docker, cloud-native platforms, or containerized environments; Atlassian tools including Jira and Confluence; and cloud-based database platforms and enterprise modernization initiatives.
