Base Salary
$162k - $233k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead ambiguous projects from stakeholder problem definition through design, review, implementation, and production ownership.
- Build and extend Go services for contract and pricing configuration, billable event generation, subscription and invoice management, and claims submission.
- Expand assertion and reconciliation systems across Salesforce, Zuora, and clinical data to detect discrepancies before customer invoicing.
- Improve billing and reconciliation data used by health plan and employer partners.
- Design self-service tools for finance, revenue cycle management, and client operations teams.
- Apply AI where appropriate to development workflows and the software development lifecycle.
- Conduct design and code reviews and mentor other engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and operating backend services in production using Go or another statically typed language.
- Experience with event-driven architectures, including eventual consistency, ordering, idempotency, and cross-system disagreement.
- Strong SQL skills and comfort working across application code and analytics layers.
- Experience owning systems where correctness had external consequences, such as billing, payments, claims, ledgers, or regulated reporting.
- Experience translating finance or operations problems into technical designs and explaining tradeoffs to non-engineering stakeholders.
- Experience with a major cloud platform; the team uses GCP.
- Experience using AI to accelerate development workflows and enhance the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with frontend development using React and TypeScript.
- Ability to work with ownership, initiative, evidence-based decision-making, rapid iteration, and cross-functional collaboration.
