Responsibilities
- Build and support data pipelines and large-scale distributed data systems.
- Work with Hadoop, Spark, Scala, Teradata, DataStage, Unix, AWS, and cloud-native capabilities.
- Lead and support high-performing engineering teams while providing coaching and stakeholder management.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues spanning multiple system components.
- Support release processes, operations, software delivery lifecycle activities, and DevSecOps practices.
- Work within agile delivery structures including squads, chapters, and tribes.
- Use version-control systems such as GitHub and contribute to observability and CI/CD processes.
Requirements
- 12+ years of industry experience, preferably in a complex data warehouse domain.
- Strong technical foundation across diverse technologies and a track record of leading high-performing engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of large-scale distributed systems, microservices, cloud technology, and public cloud engineering.
- Experience with Hadoop, Spark, Scala, Teradata, DataStage, Unix, AWS, and generative AI technologies.
- Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues involving multiple system components.
- Strong interpersonal, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with agile delivery models and data pipeline development, release processes, and operations support.
- Experience with GitHub or another version-control system.
- AWS Certified Data Analytics, Data Engineer, Developer–Specialty, or Solutions Architect certification is beneficial.
- Banking-domain experience and hands-on experience with Snowflake and dbt are desirable.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
