Base Salary
$154k - $217k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of MTIA debugging and sanitizer tooling, including live debugging, core dumps, and memory sanitizers.
- Build graph-mode debugging, kernel-level diagnostics, and multi-rank fault-isolation capabilities.
- Contribute to profiling, performance debugging, memory analysis, monitoring, and reliability-analysis infrastructure.
- Own significant tooling components through technical design, implementation, production rollout, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with compiler, runtime, kernel, and hardware teams to add instrumentation, sanitizer, and debugger support.
- Develop AI-native tooling and LLM-guided diagnostics to reduce time to root cause.
- Partner with internal product teams to understand developer pain points and prioritize tooling investments.
- Document architectural decisions and share debugging methods and best practices across the MTIA stack.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of experience in systems software engineering, performance engineering, developer tooling, or a closely related field.
- Experience building debugging, sanitizer, profiling, simulation, or diagnostic tools for complex software and hardware systems.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python, including low-level systems programming and tool-automation scripting.
- Experience across compiler, runtime, operating-system/driver, and hardware layers.
- Experience leading technical design and delivering tooling or infrastructure projects through production deployment.
- Strong cross-stack debugging skills across application, runtime, and hardware boundaries.
- Preferred: 5+ years of systems software, developer tooling, or accelerator software experience, or equivalent experience with an advanced degree.
- Preferred: experience with compiler instrumentation, runtime shadow memory, LLVM instrumentation passes, interceptors, allocator red zones, ML frameworks, accelerator ecosystems, Linux debugging, kernel and driver debugging, sanitizer technology, simulation frameworks, and AI-assisted workflow development.
- Preferred: familiarity with responsible AI practices, including risk assessment, bias mitigation, and quality and accuracy reviews.

- Base salary of $154,003/year to $217,000/year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
