Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Python software for mass spectrometry instruments.
  • Develop software for embedded Linux-based systems and instrument control.
  • Translate complex technical and scientific requirements into robust software solutions.
  • Investigate and resolve complex software, communication, and instrument-level problems.
  • Contribute to software architecture, code reviews, automated testing, and engineering best practices.
  • Participate in DevOps and continuous integration processes while collaborating with international R&D teams.

Requirements

  • University degree in a technical field with 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent practical experience in embedded software, scientific applications, or other technically complex products.
  • Strong proficiency in Python development.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git and familiarity with modern software development and DevOps practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex technical and scientific requirements into software solutions.
  • Effective written and spoken English communication and the ability to collaborate in cross-functional and international teams.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a development team.
  • Preferred qualifications include C++, Linux development, networking and communication protocols, communication buses, hardware/software interfaces, embedded systems, scientific instrumentation, automated testing, and continuous integration.
