Base Salary
$245k - $335k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and evangelize technical vision for the assigned domain.
- Decompose complex problems into practical, operational solutions and ensure technical design and implementation quality.
- Provide expertise on performance, scalability, operability, and other non-functional system characteristics.
- Modernize monolithic systems into microservice architectures and event-driven platforms.
- Define long-term platform strategy, API standards, coding standards, and design standards with engineering and architecture leaders.
- Build and evolve enterprise data protection infrastructure, multi-language SDKs, and the Kanudo caching platform.
- Lead cross-divisional projects and architectural reviews.
- Mentor engineers, coach technical communities, and drive professional development.
- Create technical communications, code samples, blog posts, and knowledge-sharing materials.
- Balance hands-on technical contribution, innovation, and leadership across multiple projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field is required.
- At least 7 years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture, enterprise architecture and design patterns, cloud computing, and data architecture are required.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- Preferred experience includes 10+ years with software engineering and solution architecture, web technologies, distributed HPC and ML systems, cloud computing, and data architecture.
- Preferred experience includes 10+ years coding in languages such as Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, or Scala.
- Preferred experience includes 8+ years with databases and database management systems and 8+ years with public cloud platforms, cloud productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred experience includes 10+ years across the full system development lifecycle and 10+ years with networking protocols and third-party distributed-system integration.
- Preferred experience includes 5+ years mentoring senior engineers and 2+ years leading cross-domain architectural reviews and establishing coding and design standards.
- Expertise in the strategic application of agentic AI coding tools is preferred.
