Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, and debug BIOS and firmware for ZT Cloud Servers.
- Review firmware and software architecture and design specifications and provide technical feedback.
- Create design documents, reference code, and related collateral with the engineering team.
- Study motherboard and BIOS specifications and configuration requirements to plan reliable and compatible platforms.
- Participate in product development teams and new platform power-on events.
- Engage cross-team validation organizations and support software and BIOS issue resolution through planning, development, and validation.
- Implement and support features required for manufacturing validation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
- At least 2 years of BIOS development experience.
- Demonstrated C, C++, and x86 Assembly language skills.
- Knowledge of operating system internals and their interaction with BIOS functions.
- Understanding of processor and enterprise system-level architecture.
- Experience with user interface or presentation-layer development.
- Extensive enterprise platform, BIOS, driver, and I/O technology hardware skills.
- Experience with legacy BIOS such as Phoenix and AMI, plus hands-on UEFI, EDK II, and Linux boot experience.
- Knowledge of x86 CPUs, memory controllers, I/O hubs, PC architecture, PCI, ACPI, DDR, CXL, BMC functions related to BIOS, and board-level diagnostic tools and utilities.
