Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain long-term test automation solutions for the team and domain.
- Shape quality engineering strategy and promote quality throughout design, development, and delivery.
- Create and run automated API, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Integrate automated tests into delivery pipelines and contribute to CI/CD solutions.
- Perform non-functional testing, including load and performance testing, to support scalability and reliability.
- Identify quality risks early, improve platform stability, and support sustainable test coverage.
- Collaborate with engineers and product stakeholders to ensure services are testable and quality is built in from the start.
- Share testing knowledge and coach less experienced team members.
Requirements
- Strong experience in backend test automation using Java and/or Kotlin, with hands-on use of Cucumber and Rest-Assured.
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automated API tests for RESTful services.
- Practical knowledge of API validation tools and libraries and event-based architecture.
- Strong experience with Git and practical experience with non-functional testing such as load and performance testing.
- Solid understanding of software testing fundamentals, including test design, coverage, and early defect prevention.
- Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
- Practical knowledge of Docker or Docker-like tools such as Rancher Desktop and Podman.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to quality improvement.
- Experience working in Agile environments and improving testing practices and tooling.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
