Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin, Android SDK, and Jetpack Compose.
- Implement responsive applications for multiple device sizes and orientations using sound architectural and state-management practices.
- Build asynchronous and multithreaded functionality, including Kotlin coroutines and Flow.
- Integrate APIs, JSON serialization, local persistence, secure storage, and modular project structures.
- Evaluate and optimize application performance, memory usage, and reliability.
- Write clean, maintainable, testable code and perform unit testing, UI testing, debugging, and code reviews.
- Support Android application lifecycle management, Google Play release processes, and developer content policies.
- Collaborate with iOS developers on shared Kotlin Multiplatform code and native Android UI where applicable.
- Contribute to technical decisions and use version control and CI/CD practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering (Computer Science).
- At least 3 years of software engineering experience, primarily developing with Android SDK.
- Strong experience developing native Android applications in Kotlin and proficiency with Jetpack Compose.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, MVVM, Clean Architecture or similar patterns, coroutines, Flow, state management, multithreading, and asynchronous programming.
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON serialization, local persistence, secure storage, responsive mobile applications, and Android performance optimization.
- Proficiency with Gradle, Kotlin DSL, dependency management, and modular project structures.
- Experience with unit testing, UI testing, debugging, testing frameworks, Agile/Scrum, CI/CD pipelines, and Git.
- Fluent English and a self-motivated, detail-oriented approach to contributing to technical decisions.
- Preferred: Kotlin Multiplatform, shared business logic modules, Kotlin/Swift interoperability, native C++/NDK integration, Java, React Native, published App Store applications, and AI-assisted development tools.
