
Flight Software Engineer – Embedded Linux & Networking

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded Linux software, including board support packages and device drivers.
- Lead development of networking subsystems, including protocol stacks and communication interfaces.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define system interfaces.
- Contribute to embedded software architecture standards and coding guidelines.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Support simulation and testing environments to validate networking behavior.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across hardware and software boundaries.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering focused on embedded Linux systems.
- Experience with real-time or performance-constrained embedded systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with advanced networking concepts and custom communication protocols is a plus.
- Exposure to secure software development practices or embedded system security is advantageous.
- Experience working on high-reliability or mission-critical systems is preferred.
- Background in wireless communication or distributed network architectures is a plus.
- Experience with GPU computing or parallel processing technologies is beneficial.
