Base Salary
$100k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Evaluate requirements, propose solutions, and explore design tradeoffs.
- Design algorithms and develop embedded software for real-time systems.
- Analyze designs and execute software, system-level, software-in-the-loop, and hardware-in-the-loop tests.
- Troubleshoot problems, evaluate test results, and develop solutions to improve performance and functionality.
- Contribute to requirements development, architecture solution ideation, and complex technical problem solving.
- Identify program- and system-level technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Prepare technical data, procedures, reports, drawings, manuals, and other documentation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and mentor less experienced software engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- 10–15 years of experience in Software Engineering or a related field.
- Expertise developing software for real-time systems and embedded targets.
- Mastery of high-level development languages such as C, C++, or Rust.
- Knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces, hardware subsystems, software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review processes.
- Experience with UML/SysML, in-circuit emulators, JTAG debuggers, and laboratory test equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
