Responsibilities
- Partner with development teams to identify and mitigate software and systems security risks.
- Implement and maintain security tools and processes for the software development lifecycle.
- Conduct security assessments, architecture reviews, and code reviews to identify vulnerabilities and support compliance.
- Develop automated scanning tools, workflow automation, metrics, and reporting.
- Promote secure SDLC practices and mentor and train engineers on security topics.
- Drive security process improvements, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and contribute to the team strategy and roadmap.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 1 year of software development experience, including writing or testing applications and automation.
- Basic understanding of container technologies and cloud providers such as AWS.
- Familiarity with one or more of C, C++, Java, .NET, JavaScript, Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Ruby.
- Familiarity with development tools such as Eclipse, Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, IntelliJ, Git, Jira, Jenkins, or Docker.
- Experience performing application security assessments through Bug Bounty programs or capture-the-flag events is preferred.
- Involvement in general information security practice or the information security community, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and English proficiency are required.
