Base Salary
$210k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the target architecture and technical roadmap for FuzeRx’s core B2B and consumer platforms.
- Lead design and implementation of high-volume API integrations, pharmacy fulfillment logistics, distributed data consistency, and other complex initiatives.
- Mentor Staff, Senior, and Mid-level engineers through design reviews, pairing sessions, and technical presentations.
- Establish engineering standards covering coding guidelines, testing frameworks, deployment pipeline strategies, and security-by-design principles.
- Partner with Product Management, Engineering Managers, Pharmacy Operations, and InfoSec to align architectures with business, clinical, privacy, and compliance needs.
- Improve system performance, latency, database efficiency, scalability, and reliability across PostgreSQL and AWS infrastructure.
- Evaluate tools, frameworks, and AWS services through proof-of-concepts.
- Serve as a Tier 1 technical escalation point for critical architectural outages during standard business hours.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required.
- 10+ years of progressive hands-on software engineering and systems-design experience are required.
- 3+ years operating at a Staff, Principal, or equivalent senior architectural level across multiple teams are required.
- Extensive experience building and scaling distributed, high-throughput, highly available B2B SaaS or transactional systems is required.
- Deep hands-on expertise in AWS, PostgreSQL, Ruby on Rails, Python, TypeScript, and JavaScript is required.
- Experience designing complex distributed systems, optimizing relational database queries, and establishing automated deployment pipelines is required.
- Experience with healthcare data interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, and NCPDP, plus electronic health record integrations, is preferred.
- Experience in HealthTech, digital pharmacy, or highly regulated environments is preferred.
- Experience leading large-scale architectural shifts and contributions to open source or technology conferences are preferred.
