Base Salary
$125k - $222k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead technical direction and mentor engineers on the Autonomy Platform team while setting architecture and execution priorities.
- Define the roadmap with the autonomy product team across internal milestones and customer requirements.
- Design and implement the autonomy-to-vehicle control layer, including drive-by-wire integration and system identification for new mining platforms.
- Build and maintain production software for vehicle health monitoring, diagnostics, telemetry pipelines, networking, and OTA deployment.
- Drive bring-up of new mining vehicle platforms from initial hardware integration through software integration and field validation.
- Integrate shared capabilities from partner teams and adapt them to mining-specific requirements.
- Establish engineering standards for reliability, safety, and scalability as the fleet moves toward production deployment.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in embedded systems, robotics, or autonomous vehicle software development.
- Proven experience leading a technical team or serving as a tech lead on a complex systems project.
- Hands-on experience with robotics actuation, including CAN, drive-by-wire, or similar control interfaces.
- Experience building or owning production embedded-platform components such as health monitoring, telemetry, diagnostics, or deployment systems.
- Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded and real-time systems development.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in mining, construction, or agriculture autonomy is preferred.
- Background in controls, system identification, or vehicle dynamics modeling is preferred.
- Familiarity with OTA deployment and fleet management systems for embedded platforms is preferred.
- Prior experience taking a new vehicle platform from initial bring-up to production readiness is preferred.
- Experience integrating shared platform components into product-specific applications with partner or external teams is preferred.
