Base Salary
$70k - $126k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and architect full-stack and embedded software solutions for airborne systems.
- Implement code, unit tests, software tools, test harnesses, and infrastructure for integrated solutions.
- Integrate distributed software modules across subsystems and networks and support software products through fielding and maintenance.
- Lead technical design decisions and influence software development approaches using DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work, coding standards, design patterns, and best practices.
- Communicate with customers, end users, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define requirements and resolve technical issues.
- Own software components or subsystems from concept through deployment.
- Coordinate technical dependencies and integration points across distributed development teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mathematics, or an equivalent technical degree.
- Overall undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- 4–8 years of relevant technical experience.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain an interim and final Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience with embedded software architecture, distributed systems, software integration, and technical design leadership.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Preferred experience with device drivers, board support packages, boot loaders, Real Time Operating Systems, and Hardware Description Language.
- Preferred knowledge of microcontrollers, single board computers, peripheral interfaces, and hardware test equipment.
- Preferred experience with software architecture patterns, configuration management, version control, automated build and test frameworks, defense systems, avionics, or guided munitions.
- Preferred experience mentoring engineers or leading technical design reviews.
