Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate event-driven infrastructure with Apache Kafka and related technologies.
Collaborate with product and platform teams to understand requirements and improve Kafka adoption.
Define and implement operational best practices to enhance resilience and reliability.
Drive automation and standardization through self-service workflows and self-healing systems.
Lead initiatives to improve Kafka availability and durability.
Evaluate and productionize Kafka ecosystem capabilities for cost-efficiency and scalability.

10+ years of experience building, operating, and evolving large-scale production systems.
Experience as a technical lead for teams working on distributed systems.
Hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Kafka, Pulsar, Flink, or Pinot.
Ability to operate with high autonomy and ownership.
Growth mindset and willingness to learn quickly and explore ambiguous problems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
