Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate high-performing, resilient, secure, and highly available cloud-native platforms for complex enterprise environments.
- Lead DevOps strategy, platform modernisation, technical initiatives, and adoption of DevOps best practices.
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code, automation, Kubernetes, containerisation, CI/CD pipelines, and developer self-service capabilities.
- Design monitoring, logging, observability, high-availability, disaster recovery, multi-cloud, and hybrid-cloud solutions.
- Implement cloud security, IAM, FinOps, cost optimisation, and DevSecOps controls within CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and mentor engineering teams while collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Extensive experience designing, implementing, and operating cloud-based solutions in complex enterprise environments.
- Proven experience with Azure and/or AWS, cloud architecture, networking, cloud security, and IAM.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, or Ansible for Infrastructure as Code.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, containerisation, platform operations, and developer platforms.
- Experience designing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Go.
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, ELK, or EFK for monitoring, logging, and observability.
- Experience with high availability, disaster recovery, multi-cloud, hybrid-cloud, FinOps, cloud cost optimisation, and DevSecOps.
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, manage stakeholders, and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Right to work in the UK, ability to obtain and maintain UK Security Clearance, and willingness to travel within the UK when required.
- Desirable certifications include Azure Administrator Associate AZ-104, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert AZ-400, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, AWS SysOps Administrator Associate, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, and HashiCorp Terraform Associate.
