Base Salary
$197k - $345k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain developer experience tooling for the Slack iOS application from CI through CD.
- Develop Bazel build systems, software factories, agentic workflows, and automated testing solutions.
- Integrate AI coding agents to automate pull request generation, code reviews, and boilerplate refactoring.
- Monitor and improve CI stability, TimeToMerge, build times, and other developer productivity metrics.
- Identify and resolve pipeline bottlenecks through intelligent automation.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, design oversight, and code-quality leadership for iOS engineers.
- Own and improve developer experience across Slack’s iOS codebase.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience building and maintaining complex iOS tooling from CI to CD.
- Deep expertise with Swift, Bazel, Python, and Xcode tools.
- Hands-on experience using and integrating AI coding agents, such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot Workspace, or custom LLM scripts.
- Ability to monitor and improve CI stability, TimeToMerge, build time, and related KPIs.
- Deep familiarity with the Apple ecosystem, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing tools, and scripting with Python, Bash, or similar tools.
- Experience leading others, mentoring engineers, and setting a high standard for technical design and code quality.
- A related technical degree is required.
- Experience with Slack, interest in improving Slack, or prior iOS developer experience work is a bonus.
