Principal Software Engineer - MLOps

- Build experimental computer vision and machine learning pipelines for underwriting analysis.
- Train, package, and deploy Hugging Face models as containerized FastAPI APIs on managed Kubernetes services.
- Ensure GPU compatibility and memory provisioning for large models, including CUDA, NVIDIA driver, and EC2/GPU instance workflows.
- Integrate solutions with existing labeling workflows and contribute to cloud-native solutions, ideally using AWS.
- Write clean, tested software and contribute to architecture, design, coding standards, and engineering practices.
- Own and deliver defined work, participate in team ceremonies, and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Mentor junior team members and lead code reviews and pull-request reviews.
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and implement automated unit and integration testing.
- Apply security practices such as threat modeling to developed code.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies using a data-driven approach and share knowledge through technical talks, blogging, and external events.
Requirements
- Experience packaging and deploying Hugging Face models as containerized FastAPI APIs on managed Kubernetes services.
- Experience with GPU compatibility, memory provisioning for large models, containerization, CUDA, NVIDIA drivers, dependency management, and EC2/GPU instance workflows.
- Experience integrating with existing labeling workflows.
- Experience developing cloud-native solutions, ideally with AWS.
- Ability to write high-quality code, contribute to architecture and design, improve coding standards, and deliver defined work.
- Ability to mentor junior team members, lead code reviews, collaborate effectively, and apply automated testing and security practices.
