Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance business-critical COBOL solutions.
- Investigate complex dependencies, integrations, and operational requirements.
- Perform analysis, design, implementation, testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance.
- Ensure solution quality and stability through code reviews, documentation, and continuous technical improvements.
- Identify technical dependencies and opportunities for modernizing and migrating COBOL functionality toward Java.
- Collaborate with the team, share knowledge, and contribute to long-term technical direction.
- Build domain knowledge of Cash Management and gradually take responsibility across the full development process.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with COBOL and complex or business-critical systems.
- Experience with troubleshooting, testing, and quality assurance.
- Understanding of integrations, databases, APIs, batch processes, or similar technical environments.
- Interest in Java and modernization of legacy systems; Java experience is advantageous but not required.
- A relevant background in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is welcomed, but relevant practical experience can compensate.
- Pragmatic, collaborative approach with motivation to share knowledge, learn, and challenge existing solutions.
