Base Salary

$121k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with software developers to design, develop, test, and release ArcGIS remote sensing product updates.
  • Design and validate recommended patterns and practices for using ArcGIS remote sensing capabilities.
  • Develop product update roadmaps and schedules with lead engineers based on user issues, requests, and feedback.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and technical point of contact for knowledge sharing and education.
  • Support technology demonstrations and presentations for industry events.
  • Coordinate development planning and roadmaps across engineering teams for broad projects such as Geospatial AI.
  • Help manage software development priorities and user expectations through communication and coordination.
  • Define and communicate deployment patterns and recommended configurations for scalable ArcGIS imagery and remote sensing systems.
  • Research, prototype, and recommend AI-enabled image analysis, raster analytics, and imagery workflow approaches, including foundation models and embeddings.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in remote sensing, image processing, or image analysis.
  • Strong GIS knowledge and extensive experience using ArcGIS platform technologies.
  • Ability to conduct applied research and rapidly prototype analytical workflows using Python.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Geography, Remote Sensing, Geophysics, Geomatics, or a related field.
  • Preferred: a relevant master’s degree.
  • Preferred: experience with computer vision, AI, and machine learning for remote sensing data.
  • Preferred: knowledge of multispectral, hyperspectral, SAR, thermal, and other remote sensing data.
  • Preferred: experience automating imagery workflows with ArcPy, the ArcGIS API for Python, or similar tools.
  • Preferred: familiarity with Azure and AWS for geospatial imagery processing and management.
  • Preferred: understanding of OGC, STAC, COG, imagery management, and modern data storage strategies.
  • Preferred: experience on research, product, or software development teams integrating ArcGIS imagery capabilities with enterprise systems.
