Responsibilities
- Develop automation for maintenance and operation of HPC environments.
- Improve and maintain HPC software and middleware using Python and shell scripts.
- Provide operational and user support for enterprise and global HPC clusters.
- Install, test, configure, monitor, and secure HPC clusters, servers, and software.
- Analyze workloads and optimize clusters for performance and throughput.
- Resolve operational, hardware, and software issues and coordinate with vendors and internal teams.
- Improve existing HPC utilities and implement new tools, documentation, and specifications.
- Develop automated tests and CI/CD pipelines for IT infrastructure automation.
- Support physical lab infrastructure involving NUCs and Raspberry Pi devices.
- Collaborate with product owners, application groups, IT teams, and engineering teams on solutions and architecture.
Requirements
- Bachelor-level degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a similar field.
- 5 to 7 years of IT experience designing and implementing IT solutions in a multinational environment.
- Proven experience as a technology expert in complex, security-driven, technologically diverse environments.
- Strong experience developing tools for IT infrastructure automation.
- Strong command of Python, Salt, shell scripting, Ansible, and Linux administration.
- Experience with cloud technology such as Amazon.
- Knowledge of Git, GitLab, version control systems, automated testing, and CI/CD pipeline development.
- Strong knowledge of IBM LSF and related scheduling and support tools is preferred.
- Experience with SaltStack, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Splunk, ELK, or related DevOps tools is preferred.
- Knowledge of data analytics and IBM LSF tools including RTM, Platform Analytics, and IBM Explorer is preferred.
- Business English proficiency and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Agile Scrum and ITIL processes.
