Responsibilities
- Embed with biopharma customers to understand clinical operations, vendor activity, study execution, accruals, forecasting, reconciliation, and related financial workflows.
- Uncover and validate field use cases and turn the highest-value problems into product capabilities.
- Design, build, and deploy AI-driven solutions rapidly for real operational problems.
- Translate ambiguous customer requirements into technical architecture and production code in Condor’s core platform.
- Build and maintain Django services and APIs, AI agent workflows, data integrations, monitoring, and feedback loops.
- Build customer-facing systems end-to-end across UI, backend, data, and AI.
- Own customer deployments from initial scoping through launch and iteration.
- Identify patterns across deployments and codify field work into core product and platform capabilities.
- Partner with Product and Engineering on roadmap, abstractions, and long-term system design.
- Travel occasionally to customer locations as needed.
Requirements
- 4–10 years of software engineering experience building and owning end-to-end production systems.
- Prior experience in a forward-deployed, founding-engineer, or similar zero-to-one customer-facing engineering role.
- Experience using LLMs and agent frameworks, including function calling or tool use, retrieval-augmented generation, evaluations, and ownership of reliability and cost.
- Track record of translating customer problems into solutions implemented in a shared core codebase.
- Strong proficiency in Python and Django, with solid data modeling and SQL skills on PostgreSQL.
- Comfort building on AWS, including Bedrock, ECS/Fargate, and Lambda.
- Ability to communicate credibly with technical and non-technical customer stakeholders and operate independently in ambiguous environments.
- React experience for customer-facing UI is a plus.
- Experience with vector search and retrieval using Pinecone or pgvector is a plus.
- Experience with graph or relationship stores such as Neo4j is a plus.
- Exposure to clinical operations, biopharma R&D, financial systems, regulated high-correctness data, ERP, CTMS, EDC, procurement, or vendor feeds is a plus.
- Experience building evaluation and observability for LLM applications is a plus.
- Experience at companies using forward-deployed or zero-to-one models, such as Palantir, Anduril, Cursor, or Cognition, is a plus.
