Responsibilities
- Lead development of the backend stack and ensure engineering best practices are followed.
- Design, develop, and maintain backend systems supporting access control and security solutions.
- Own technical delivery for backend projects and lead or assist a team of backend engineers.
- Evaluate, develop, and implement AI/ML-powered solutions and provide technical leadership on AI adoption.
- Optimize API and service performance, scalability, reliability, database queries, and overall system efficiency.
- Participate in API design, code reviews, unit testing, sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and software release quality activities.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, front-end engineers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Lead Backend Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in C++, including the language specification, standard library, STL containers, and algorithms.
- Experience developing, integrating, or deploying AI/ML-powered solutions.
- Familiarity with Large Language Models, AI-assisted development tools, and modern AI frameworks.
- Understanding of AI system architecture, prompt engineering, vector databases, RAG, and AI service integration.
- Knowledge of database systems, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude.
