Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and database solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
- Develop SQL code for data transformation, reporting, and data modeling.
- Build and optimize data models using dbt and maintain ETL processes.
- Optimize database performance and query execution, monitor data quality, and support deployment and release activities.
- Perform unit testing and support integration testing.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Data Engineers, Architects, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders in an international agile team.
- Contribute to technical solution design, architecture discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
Requirements
- Strong software development experience focused on database development.
- Excellent SQL programming skills and strong experience with Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery.
- Experience with dbt, Apache Airflow, Git, ETL pipeline development, relational database design, and data modeling.
- Experience with REST APIs, data integration concepts, CI/CD concepts, and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with Agile software development, including Scrum and/or SAFe.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, ownership, and independent-working skills.
- German language skills, telecommunications industry experience, AI-assisted development tools, and experience with AI/ML, Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, or AI-powered data engineering are advantageous.
