Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Write efficient, maintainable C++ code using modern best practices.
- Develop and maintain high-fidelity multi-physics simulation libraries for spacecraft systems, including dynamics, thermal, attitude control, propulsion, power, sensors, and actuators.
- Implement coupled physics algorithms modeling interactions among spacecraft subsystems.
- Design time-stepping algorithms, solver architectures, and integration schemes for real-time and faster-than-real-time simulation.
- Maintain C++ and Python APIs used by internal mission, spacecraft operations, and analysis applications.
- Collaborate with internal teams on mission planning, advanced spacecraft-operation algorithms, and trade-space analyses.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, physics, a similar discipline, or relevant experience.
- 1-3 years of professional C++ experience.
- Experience using Python for scripting and prototyping.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented software development practices.
- Understanding of complex distributed systems and how designed components fit into larger systems.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
- Preferred experience with physics-based modeling and simulation environments.
- Preferred knowledge of ODE solvers, integration schemes, numerical linear algebra, matrix computations, and sparse matrix techniques.
- Preferred experience with spacecraft subsystems including ADCS, GNC, thermal control, electric power systems, and propulsion.
- Preferred understanding of coordinate frames, transformations, quaternion mathematics, orbital mechanics, perturbation forces, model validation, verification, and uncertainty quantification.
- Preferred experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
