Responsibilities
- Build and scale OpenAI’s localization and content platform.
- Develop AI-powered translation pipelines with human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Design systems for reliable delivery of localized product content.
- Create tools for linguists and localization teams to enhance translations.
- Develop developer tooling for simplified localization workflows.
- Maintain internationalization libraries for handling locale-specific content.
- Partner with product teams to improve international readiness of features.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering experience in backend or full-stack systems.
- Familiarity with Java, React, MySQL, and cloud infrastructure patterns.
- Experience building platforms and internal tools for multiple teams.
- Appreciation for open-source software and developer tooling.
- Interest in combining AI systems with human workflows.
- Cultural and linguistic awareness; multilingual proficiency is a plus.
