Base Salary
$145k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain highly available systems that orchestrate software deployment across hundreds of production environments.
- Develop performance-sensitive storage features and optimizations for storing and serving Palantir products.
- Design and implement Kubernetes backup and restore solutions that enable rapid cluster reconstruction.
- Build and optimize the OCI-based container artifact store.
- Solve customer problems through tight feedback loops and collaborate across team boundaries.
- Debug complex issues and performance problems throughout the stack, including in open-source software.
- Own the full development lifecycle from ideation and design through implementation, operation, and support.
Requirements
- At least four years of professional software development experience in core infrastructure with an emphasis on operational excellence.
- At least two years of experience contributing to system design or architecture for new and existing systems, including reliability and scaling.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Strong systems programming proficiency in Go, Java, or an equivalent language.
- Familiarity with Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration at scale.
- Experience with hosted container registries such as Amazon Elastic Container Registry, Google Artifact Registry, or Azure Container Registry is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with the OCI Distribution Spec and open-source registry projects such as distribution/distribution and Harbor.
- Experience designing, building, and operating high-scale observability or infrastructure systems.
- Experience building high-quality software in a CI/CD development environment.
