Responsibilities
- Conduct manual application security testing and audit source code to support releases.
- Construct security testing plans and verify that security controls are correctly implemented.
- Develop tooling to support platform security improvement initiatives.
- Provide security guidance for new projects, features, and changes to Health-related projects.
- Support the security of systems used to develop Apple health features and protect health research participant data.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of experience in security engineering.
- Extensive knowledge of security principles, technologies, and best practices across cloud, network, application, and data security.
- Experience with threat modeling, vulnerability management, incident response, and security automation.
- Comprehensive understanding of security risks and challenges in large-scale, complex systems and datasets.
- Background building scalable software systems and platforms.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for communicating security concerns to mixed audiences.
- Preferred: background in web application development and/or code auditing.
- Preferred: experience with security testing and review of medical or health-related applications.
- Preferred: experience with multi-cloud platform applications.
- Preferred: demonstrated contributions to the security community through publications, presentations, or open-source projects.
