Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java and Spring middleware applications and backend services.
- Build scalable, resilient, high-performance microservices for payment processing and financial transaction workflows.
- Develop product features, platform capabilities, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, RESTful APIs, and secure service integrations.
- Write clean, maintainable, performance-optimized code with comprehensive unit test coverage.
- Support System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, and production environments by identifying and resolving issues.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, and Solutions Architecture teams.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, Agile ceremonies, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
- Use version control and CI/CD pipelines while producing technical and implementation documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience developing Java middleware or backend applications.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Java 11 or newer.
- Professional experience in FinTech, payments, banking, or financial services.
- Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud (Netflix OSS), Spring Framework 5, OAuth2, JPA, ORM modeling, RESTful APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture, asynchronous messaging, and distributed software design.
- Experience with Git, unit testing, clean code, code reviews, troubleshooting, and collaborative source-control workflows.
- Strong technical writing, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Advanced English and Spanish are mandatory.
- Preferred: AWS experience, CI/CD and DevOps familiarity, high-volume transaction processing, payment processing concepts, monitoring, logging, and application performance optimization.
