Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and own end-to-end AI-powered features across backend APIs, data layers, and user-facing integrations.
  • Translate business requirements into reliable technical solutions while communicating risks and tradeoffs with product, data science, and engineering partners.
  • Integrate internal and third-party LLM and AI APIs into production systems.
  • Develop prompt-management tools, automated evaluation pipelines, observability capabilities, and supporting frameworks.
  • Improve code quality, testing practices, observability, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability, performance, and quality of production AI systems.
  • Contribute to model versioning, experiment tracking, MLOps practices, code reviews, and team engineering standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor colleagues while remaining hands-on in implementation and production operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related STEM field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3–5 years of industry software engineering experience building and operating production systems.
  • Strong Python skills and experience building scalable backend services and REST or GraphQL APIs.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and services such as AWS and GCP, Docker, and Git.
  • Exposure to deploying and monitoring machine learning models or generative AI systems in production, including automated evaluation pipelines.
  • Familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, LangSmith, or equivalent agentic/orchestration frameworks.
  • Exposure to MLOps tooling for model deployment, monitoring, experiment tracking, and evaluation pipelines is preferred.
  • SQL proficiency and experience with data pipeline tooling such as Airflow or an equivalent tool.
