Base Salary
$101k - $167k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build Android applications from architecture through design and implementation.
- Collaborate with developers and designers throughout the development process.
- Translate user requirements into applications that support real-world field scenarios.
- Develop software for field mapping, data collection, sensor networks, street navigation, and related workflows.
- Solve complex design, development, performance, caching, and user-experience problems.
- Advocate for Android development within Esri and at industry conferences.
- Participate in design and code reviews and help establish strong development practices.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of commercial software development experience.
- Experience developing with Kotlin and the Android platform.
- Object-oriented design skills and knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Knowledge of mobile performance optimization and caching.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
- Good communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to work independently in a changing environment.
- Preferred: experience publishing Android apps to Google Play, Amazon Appstore, or other Android marketplaces.
- Preferred: experience with spatial or mapping applications, security, native hardware components, GIS, RESTful web services, or Git.
- A master’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field is preferred.
