Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and evolve backend product capabilities for a high-scale global platform.
  • Make architectural decisions across modular-monolith code, shared components, and independently operated services.
  • Define backend standards for maintainability, testing, APIs, security, availability, performance, and operational readiness.
  • Diagnose and prevent performance and reliability issues, participate in incident response, and act as a technical owner.
  • Mentor associate and intermediate engineers, remove technical blockers, and contribute through code and design reviews.
  • Use, evaluate, and promote responsible AI-assisted production engineering workflows.

Requirements

  • Strong command of backend architecture, APIs, data systems, and performance tuning in complex product or service environments.
  • Proficiency in modern backend languages and deep understanding of systems programming.
  • Experience designing or evolving modular backend boundaries, bounded contexts, and migration-safe architectures.
  • Ability to lead through technical influence, sound technical judgment, and clear written communication.
  • Proven experience building or operating agentic systems in production, including architecting loops, tool use, and error-handling strategies for reliability at scale.
