Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, testing, and maintenance of Network Management software.
- Drive software architecture, technical design discussions, and implementation decisions.
- Develop scalable, secure, and maintainable software using modern engineering practices and AI-assisted development tools.
- Mentor engineers through technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
- Analyze and resolve complex software, networking, and system-level issues.
- Collaborate with architects, system engineers, product stakeholders, and integration teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Drive continuous improvement through automation, DevOps practices, and engineering best practices.
- Ensure compliance with Nokia quality, security, and defense requirements.
Requirements
- BSc or MSc degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science, or Software Engineering.
- Solid software development experience using C++, Java, Python, or similar technologies.
- Experience with telecommunications systems, IP networking, Network Management platforms, or mission-critical communications.
- Experience working in Linux-based development environments.
- Ability to guide technical work and collaborate on technical direction.
- Experience with Network Management Systems, OSS solutions, or telecommunications management applications.
- Interest in Artificial Intelligence tools and techniques.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Valid personal identification document from a NATO-member country.
- Ability to pass or hold a valid Finnish security clearance check.
- Knowledge of 5G, core networks, tactical communications, or mission-critical networking solutions is preferred.
- Experience with cloud-native technologies, Kubernetes, containers, and microservice architectures is preferred.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and secure software development is preferred.
- Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives is preferred.
- Experience working in agile development environments is preferred.
