Base Salary
$320k - $405k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain identity and secrets management systems for credential issuance, rotation, and workload authentication across multi-cloud environments.
- Implement cluster security controls including RBAC policies, namespace isolation, workload identity, and pod security.
- Implement cloud security controls involving IAM, network segmentation, VPC architecture, and encryption across multi-cloud and on-premises environments.
- Design secure development frameworks and libraries for service-to-service authentication, serialization, and tool proxies.
- Harden CI/CD pipelines against supply-chain attacks using isolated builds, signed attestations, dependency verification, and automated policy enforcement.
- Identify and remediate security gaps through code review, threat modeling, and hands-on debugging.
- Improve cloud security posture through infrastructure-as-code scanning, misconfiguration detection, and automated remediation.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience implementing and maintaining security-relevant systems in production.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python or a systems language such as Go or Rust.
- Experience contributing to cloud security controls.
- Ability to own problems end to end, from issue identification through shipping and monitoring fixes.
- Clear communication and collaborative cross-team working skills.
- Strong candidates may also have experience with developer security tooling, Kubernetes security primitives, cloud security posture management, infrastructure-as-code security scanning, network security, eBPF, kernel security policies, secrets management, workload authentication, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, SPIFFE/SPIRE, or research-oriented environments.
