Responsibilities

Design and prototype data virtualization architectures for unified, near-real-time access to distributed data sources.
Build prototype-level API-based extraction, streaming, ETL, and ELT pipelines.
Integrate Spark, Presto, and SQL-based distributed query and transformation platforms in proof-of-value environments.
Create reference architectures and working prototypes across AWS, Azure, GCP, private cloud, and on-premises environments.
Evaluate workloads and performance across compute, networking, storage, and GPU-accelerated environments.
Build AI-driven prototypes demonstrating RAG, automation, and agentic workflows.
Translate prototype outcomes into technical and business value narratives.
Build lightweight ROI, TCO, and cost comparison models and evaluate architectural trade-offs.
Lead discovery sessions, technical workshops, and proof-of-value execution with customers.
Collaborate with Sales, Solution Architecture, Product, Engineering, Professional Services, and Managed Services teams for opportunity shaping, feedback, and handoff.

Strong experience with data virtualization platforms such as Zetaris, Starburst, Dremio, or equivalent technologies.
Hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Teradata, and cloud-native data warehouses.
Proficiency with Spark, Presto, SQL, distributed query engines, and performance optimization.
Experience building prototype-level ETL/ELT pipelines and integration workflows.
Knowledge of API-based data integration patterns and experience with hybrid, multi-cloud, and on-premises environments.
Familiarity with enterprise infrastructure and accelerated compute platforms from Hitachi, Cisco, Supermicro, HPE, Dell, Pure, and NVIDIA.
Understanding of data governance, security, and access-control principles.
Ability to operate within large-scale enterprise data ecosystems.
Preferred experience in forward-deployed engineering, field engineering, or customer-facing technical roles.
Preferred experience with consultative, prototype-driven, or proof-of-value-led selling motions.
Preferred hands-on exposure to GenAI or agentic AI solutions in validation or demonstration contexts.
Preferred experience leveraging industry datasets or benchmarking frameworks.
Strong communication skills and ability to simplify complex technical concepts.

Expected base salary is $125K to $270K per year, with expected on-target earnings of $170K to $330K; employees may also participate in applicable bonus, variable, or commission programs.
