Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to debug, troubleshoot, verify, and validate software functionality.
- Develop and maintain automated software test suites using Python and Selenium.
- Design and develop Python-based simulation programs to validate software performance and functionality.
- Deploy and manage Docker service containers on Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems.
- Automate processes and tooling with Bash scripting.
- Create and maintain documentation for software installation, operations, and troubleshooting.
- Perform hands-on software integration and testing remotely and onsite, including incident diagnosis and root cause analysis.
- Provide onsite installation and field support, including testing or integration activities aboard vessels when required.
Requirements
- AA degree in a related discipline and six years of related experience, or a high school education, eight years of related experience, and relevant certification.
- At least one year of experience testing software or working in related technical roles.
- U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance required at start.
- Strong Python scripting and automation experience, Bash scripting knowledge, Docker experience, Selenium experience, and hands-on Red Hat Linux/RHEL experience.
- Desired qualifications include messaging systems or publish/subscribe concepts such as DDS, experience with unmanned vehicles or related robotics systems, strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, and customer-facing field support experience.
- Willingness and ability to work aboard vessels during testing or integration events.
