Base Salary
$210k - $290k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services for Kalepa’s core product.
- Develop data models, pipelines, and evaluation loops around fragmented, high-value data.
- Own business-critical infrastructure that improves data completeness, decision transparency, and product value.
- Drive projects to completion with minimal oversight and proactively communicate blockers and progress.
- Experiment, measure results, and iterate on solutions to novel problems.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Python, with openness to candidates from other object-oriented programming backgrounds.
- Experience with serverless technologies such as Lambda and EC2, asynchronous workflows, and cloud environments.
- Comfort working with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
- Ability to take ownership, communicate proactively, and work effectively in a high-ownership environment.
- Experience with distributed systems or LLMs and generative AI is a bonus.
