Base Salary

$210k - $290k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and build backend services for Kalepa’s core product.
  • Develop data models, pipelines, and evaluation loops around fragmented, high-value data.
  • Own business-critical infrastructure that improves data completeness, decision transparency, and product value.
  • Drive projects to completion with minimal oversight and proactively communicate blockers and progress.
  • Experiment, measure results, and iterate on solutions to novel problems.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of software engineering experience.
  • Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in Python, with openness to candidates from other object-oriented programming backgrounds.
  • Experience with serverless technologies such as Lambda and EC2, asynchronous workflows, and cloud environments.
  • Comfort working with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
  • Ability to take ownership, communicate proactively, and work effectively in a high-ownership environment.
  • Experience with distributed systems or LLMs and generative AI is a bonus.
