Responsibilities

Build scalable distributed systems capable of handling high traffic from numerous devices.
Work with high concurrency key-value storage systems like Redis and DynamoDB.
Utilize Postgres relational databases for data management.
Implement logging and message passing technologies such as Kafka and SQS.
Deploy services using Terraform and Kubernetes.
Develop large-scale systems for remote product interaction and configuration.
Define and enhance low-latency, high-throughput microservice architectures.
Design and develop features that incorporate advanced computer vision.
Create clean APIs using Python and/or Go.

Must be able to work at Verkada HQ during summer 2026.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, graduating by June 2027.
Prior internship experience in product development is preferred.
Familiarity with Python or Golang, distributed systems, and operating systems is required.
Experience with AWS, Docker, and agile team environments is a plus.
Knowledge of REST APIs and Linux servers is advantageous.
